CAMEL Club: Companions Against Method of Effective Length

Objectives
CAMEL club draws the strength of international researchers and engineers by sharing experience in using nonlinear and second-order analysis and design method in place of the deficient effective length method.
Requirements for joining
Any engineer or researcher promises to himself and the club that he will, whenever possible and feasible, use the second-order analysis and design method in place of the effective length method.
How to join ?
Please email Prof. S.L. Chan (ceslchan@polyu.edu.hk) about your intention of joining CAMEL club and we will then circulate news, experience, opinions on possible causes and photographs of collapse incidents due to buckling or instability of members and structures to you and as other CAMEL members. All professionals will be welcome.
Fee
Free of charge, we are a non-profit making and learnt society carrying an objective of contributing to the quality of life of human beings.
Your contributions
You can write to us on some of your experience, views on and photographs of collapse incidents we will then distribute to CAMEL members after editing.
